Chappelli NuVinci® N360™ Bicycle Wins Australian International Design Award Chappelli Cycles, an Australian brand who has built a name for affordable “fixies,” was recently honored with a 2012 Australian International Design Award for its newly released model sporting the NuVinci N360 continuously variable drivetrain. Chappelli was among the more than 200 entries. Presented by Good Design Australia, the competition is Australia’s longest running design recognition program. Bicycle Innovation Award at FietsVAK 2012 Show in Amsterdam The NuVinci Harmony intelligent drivetrain, the first continuously variable shifting system offering the option of automatic seamless or manual shifting, won the Bicycle Innovation Award at FietsVAK 2012 in Amsterdam, This award at the FietsVak Bicycle Show in The Netherlands.is one of the highest honors given by the country's bike industry, with manufacturers worldwide competing every every year. This is the second Fietvak Innovation award for NuVinci technolgy: The NuVinci Harmony incorporates technology included in NuVinci CVP bicycle drivetrains and.the initial NuVinci bicycle drivetrain model, the N170, won in 2007. iF Design / EUROBIKE Awards: 2011, 2010, 2008 and 2007 The EuroBike Awards, conceived and organized by iF International Forum Design, honor the best in bicycle design and are considered one of the industry’s most prestigious design competitions. The NuVinci CVP received one of only 10 Gold Awards in 2008. Judges cited the excellence of the NuVinci product’s engineering, its simplicity and its ease of use as major factors in their decision to honor NuVinci with the Gold Award. VSF Award: 2011 Germany’s VSF Award is considered the “ride-quality seal” for bikes and bike parts that provide long-lasting, dependable service. It is awarded by an independent professional association of bicycle experts to products that reflect the highest levels of quality, value, innovation, functionality, and reliability. The NuVinci N360 drivetrain was honored with this prestigious label in September 2011. TIPP Award: 2011 NuVinci Harmony auto-shifting drivetrain for e-Bikes was honored with the coveted TIPP “Milestone Award” as one of the year’s top innovations in the German bicycle market.
